Let’s Celebrate!

In reception our theme is ‘Celebrations’ and there is a lot to celebrate this autumn term, not only in our reception class but across the country and sometimes in other parts the world too. If you want to enter into a polemic or have some comments/wishes, but you can't submit them qualitatively, buy response essay at https://topwritingservice.com/response-reaction-paper/ or similar specialists, and be confident in your words!

Our first big event is our whole school Harvest assembly. We will be learning about what it means to harvest different types of foods and about Harvest Celebrations and festivals.

Another celebration is Divali. What is Divali? What is the story behind it? Who celebrates Divali? How is Divali celebrated? Where is it celebrated? These are just some of the questions we will be finding out about, in our last week of term. Very exciting!

Cooking with Tina

After our fantastic start to the term creating our dreamcatchers, we got down to the serious business of making pumpkin soup. We had to learn how to chop the pumpkins safely with a knife and then finally got to taste it. Some children enjoyed it so much, they asked for more.

Yay! Christmas is on the horizon and time to dress the Christmas tree for our classroom. Everyone put something on and we think it looks amazing.

Snow glorious snow.

We put on our wellies and stamped about in the snow.

Whoops a Daisy Angel.

Learning the songs for our nativity performance has been great fun. Rehearsals began and yesterday we had our dress rehearsal in front of the whole school.
Today was the big day, last day of term and we put on a wonderful performance for parents and family.

Next term our theme is Hamlet. We will be learning all about castles and who might live in them. We will be finding out about the famous playwright, William Shakespeare and best of all, lots of drama activities.

Finally, thank you all for your continued support and wishing you all a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

Mrs Ives and the reception team.
